In the painting "The Redhead", I’ve worked with integrating the grain of the reused plywood panel as an active part of the composition. The pattern of the wood grain enhances the expression of the red-haired woman and creates a visual connection between the material and the motif. The piece explores how texture and structure can play an integral role in the artwork.
This piece is number 13 in the series “33 Days Challenge”, where the goal was to create one painting each day for 33 days – with no focus on perfection, but on process and flow.
