About

Working with Colors,
Shapes & Quiet Narratives

Hey there, I'm Thomas.

… and I’m a visual artist and graphic designer..

I’m a visual artist and graphic designer based in Copenhagen. My work draws from everyday stories and the quiet transitions where something new begins to take shape. I mainly work in acrylic and oil, with figurative motifs where the body and face carry mood and meaning.

My inspiration comes from the close and familiar – the small stories we share – and I strive to create images others can see themselves in.

If you’re curious about my work, have an idea for a collaboration, or just feel like chatting about art over a cup of coffee, feel free to get in touch.

Inspiration

I believe creativity isn’t just about aesthetics – it’s about creating connection. Between people. Between material and story. Between what we see and what we feel.

My work often begins with the small, personal stories we carry with us – and share in glimpses. Through faces, shapes, and colors, I try to capture the quiet nuances. The ones that don’t shout, but stay with you. The ones that create presence.

I work with recycled and upcycled materials whenever possible – not as a gesture, but as a way to honor the material and its history. An old piece of plywood, a worn wooden surface, something that has lived another life – it brings texture and a certain soul to the work that can’t be bought new.

My visual language often breaks away from the traditional format. I move beyond the square canvas – both physically and in thought. Each piece becomes a meeting between craftsmanship and intuition. An exploration of what happens when new techniques, old materials, and a good dose of curiosity are allowed to speak together.

33 days, 33 pieces – a daily exercise in getting started, experimenting, and keeping creativity flowing.
Frederiksberg Centret and I collaborated on the project ‘Small & Great Stories from Frederiksberg’, where local narratives were transformed into artworks. The exhibition consisted of 12 paintings.
I was interviewed by Shefali Ranthe on Frederiksberg Local TV, where we talked about my artworks, my sources of inspiration, and my collaboration with Frederiksberg Centret on the exhibition project ‘Small and Great Stories from Frederiksberg’.

Past Exhibitions

Past Exhibitions

As an artist, I’ve had the opportunity to present my work in different contexts and on various platforms – including galleries and art societies.

There’s often a common thread running through my exhibitions, where I explore themes like identity, emotions, and atmospheres.

I believe art can be a powerful catalyst for change – a way to spark dialogue and create connection with our surroundings and with one another.
